the first photograph inserted in a stained glass window of a church

In 2019 a photographic work by Andrea avezzù, inspired by Giotto’s sky in the Cappella degli Scrovegni in Padua, was inserted in a large window of a new Catholic church in Tuscany.
the church was designed by the award winning architecture firm Tam Associati with the artistic direction of Marcello Chiarenza.

This is the first example in the history of photography and in the history of the Catholic church of the use of a photographic work inside a church.
